Please tell us about your military service. I will start with mine.
US Army 10 May 1977 - 9 May 1980 82 Airborne Division, Ft Bragg, NC 313th CEWI BN/358 EW CO and CSC. Now in English. CEWI = Combat Electronic Warfare Intelligence Battallion CSC = Combat Support Company SP-4 = Specialist 4 (equivalent to a corporal) 05-F = Radio Teletype Operator (non Morse)
I did enjoy my 3 years of service. I saw no combat and was never deployed. I was in the peace time Army. Jumping out of airplanes is quite an exciting time. I did not liking jumping at night, I had one water jump in Key West with the US Navy. That is the only time I did not get the 100 foot shakes, my whole body would just wiggle, then I would be ready to land. I have no idea why, it just did. Working with the MI crowd was extremely enlightening, lets just say this Edward Snowden episode does not surprise me at all.

I can't imagine jumping out of a plane at all much less doing it at night! Must be pretty terrifying the first time.
